Peters was hired as the assistant coach for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team in July of 2021.

In 2022, the Mastodons finished second in the Horizon League and advanced to the Horizon League Championship semifinal. Peters helped Samantha Castaneda to be named the Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year that season.

Peters came to the Summit City after spending two years as an assistant coach at Muskingum University, a Division III program in the Ohio Athletic Conference. She was also the interim head coach from November 2019 to February 2020.

Prior to her time at Muskingum, Peters was an assistant coach for Zanesville Arsenal SC, an amateur club in Ohio. She joined the staff after graduating from Division I University of Toledo, where she was a member of the Rockets' women's soccer program. She played in 33 games in three seasons in Toledo, including an NCAA Tournament match in 2017.
