1999

Deanna Brown tied for first on team with a .31 service ace average in the 1999 season. She played in all 32 matches and was third on squad in digs (291). Her best performance was in October 23, 1999 vs. Wisconsin- Parkside (.290 attack avg.) She also chipped in 3 aces and 15 digs that match.

1998

During her first season with the dons, Deanna broke into the starting lineup about half way into the 1998 season. Her ball control, quick jump and fast armswing gave the dons a weapon at opposite.

High School

Deanna was a stand-out volleyball player from Blue River Valley High School in Mount Summit, Indiana. She was a four-year starter holding the career records for digs(560), service points(427), and service aces(131). Her single-season record is block assists(35) and single-match records are block assists(4), and hitting percentage(1.000). Athletic Awards include First Team All-Conference selection in both her junior and senior seasons in the Mid-Eastern Conference, often regarded as the state's toughest volleyball conference. She also was First Team All-State, top 40 all-star tryout invitational, three time All-Sectional selection, and two time All-East Central Indiana Team.

During her four seasons at Blue River Valley, Brown helped lead the Vikings to their first winning record in 16 years and state rankings in both her junior and senior years. Blue River Valley finished the season ranked No. 3 in class A.

Deanna also competed in track and cheerleading, as well as being a member of Students Against Drunk Driving, the Spanish Club and was named to the National Honor Society.
