1999
Served as a tri-captain and made Deans List with a 3.62 GPA during fall semester. Had 25 or more kills during a match 3 times during 1999. (27 vs. St. Joseph's on Sept. 14, 26 vs. SIUE on Sept. 18, and 25 vs. Southern Indiana on Nov. 11.). Douglas led Squad in kills (522), attempts (1,286), and digs (421.).

Laura's 1998 season continued to impress the GLVC competition. As a "goto" person this year her success in difficult situations will lead her to even better results next year.
She broke into the NCAA, GLVC and team records this year.

1997
Laura like Tami jumped on her chance to secure a starting position in the 1997 season. The most impressive part of her game is her ability to rise to the challenge. The better the competition the better she performs. Against top ranked Augustana she hit over .500 and led the team in kills. That same weekend she was named to the All Tournament Team which selected 12 players out of 12 teams.
High School
Laura was a 5'11" outside hitter from Leo High School. She led the Leo team to a 20-12 record last season. During her senior season, Laura nailed 288 kills, had 238 digs and 20 service aces in 62 games. This three sport athlete was an All Allen County Athletic Conference(A.C.A.C) first team selection for the second consecutive year in volleyball, a three time All-A.C.A.C. selection in basketball and a two time member of the All-A.C.A.C softball squad. She was named to the All-Tournament team at the Hall of Fame Classic basketball tournament in New Castle, IN. Besides being a great athlete, Laura is also a very fine student. She ranks among the top 10 percent in her graduating class and has been named to the honor role numerous times.
