2003 Season
Named All-Independent Setter of the Year and First Team. Averaged 10.54 assists per game (1,212), to go along with 303 digs, (2.63 pg), 37 kills, and 32 service aces.
2002 Season
Led IPFW in assists with 1,296. In 116 games, Bankowski also had 285 digs. Her average of 2.46 per game was second best on the team. Had a season high 65 assists against Bowling Green on 9/17/02. Also had 18 digs twice in 2002.
2001 Season
Bankowski stepped into some difficult shoes to fill after All-Conference Tami Isch graduated but she took the challenge and ran with it. She racked up a total of 1270 assists. Her best match came against University of Pennsylvania on October 8, 2001 when she got four aces, dug up 16 balls and 65 assists.
High School
Bankowski, who was on Bedford’s varsity squad four years, owns school records for digs in a season (680); points served in a career (1,200), and points served in a season (554). Bankowski helped lead Bedford High School to the 2001 state championship. Her list of accolades includes 2001 and 2000 First-Team All-State, First-Team All-Region, Monroe Guardian Player of the Year, and Monroe Evening News Player of the Year in 2001 and 2000. She was an AAU All-American in 1999, and as a sophomore, was the starting setter for the 1999 state runner-up team. According to Coach Hartley, “I have watched Lindi for years and believe she is one of the finest setters to come out of the class of 2000. She has outstanding knowledge of the game, quickness, and ball control. Lindi has the ability to contend for the starting job next fall.”
Personal
Born May 27, 1983, Lindi is the daughter of Edd and Kathy Bankowski. She has a brother, Bryce, and is majoring in Education.
