2002 Season
At the libero position, Leffers led IPFW with 443 digs (3.72 per match) in 2002. Had a season high four kills vs. Bowling Green on 9/17/02 and 33 digs against Ball State on 10/5/02.
2001 Season
Leffers was the main defensive specialist last year but this year she will be playing the brand new position, libero. With her ball handling ability, Leffers contributions to the team were huge. Her best performance came on October 6, 2001 against Oakland University where she had five aces and 18 digs. Leffers had a career high of 21 digs in the win over Wisconsin-Green Bay.
2000 Season
Leffers earned a starting job at the defensive specialist position in the 2000 season. She was third on the team in digs with 245 and averaged 2.29 digs/game. Her best performance came in a five-game win over Lewis University on Oct. 28, 2000, where Leffers had 18 digs.
High School
Leffers is a defensive specialist from South Side High School. She was captain during her junior and senior years and won the Mental Attitude Award in her senior year. Leffers was also named to the All-SAC team her junior and senior years.
Personal
Born Nov. 1, 1981, Leffers is the daughter of John and Lita Leffers. She has two brothers, Kevin and Austin, and a nephew, Kevin Isaac. Leffers is majoring in communications.
