Brian Bienz joined Purdue Fort Wayne Athletics as the Assistant Director of Compliance in February of 2018. In his role for Purdue Fort Wayne, Bienz assists in ensuring the athletic department is in line with NCAA, Horizon League and MIVA rules and regulations, along with monitoring the eligibility of current and prospective student-athletes.

Prior to his arrival at Purdue Fort Wayne, Bienz worked as the Compliance Coordinator at the University of San Francisco, and as the Compliance Graduate Assistant at the University of the Incarnate Word during the school’s transition from NCAA Division II to Division I membership.

The 2015 graduate of High Point University began his career in compliance at his alma mater, serving as a Compliance Intern while pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. While at Incarnate Word, Bienz continued his post-secondary education, earning a Master’s Degree in Sport Administration in 2017.

He is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC).

A native of Angola, Indiana, he currently resides in Fort Wayne with his wife, Maddie.
