Dr. Ian Nelson

As a high school athlete in Elkhart, Indiana and a college athlete at Butler University, Dr. Nelson experienced the patient perspective first hand when he underwent surgeries to resolve athletic injuries. His personal experience drives his practice.
Othopedics combines several things that Dr. Nelson loves about medicine; it often presents a puzzle that can be solved with physical diagnosis, the ability to truly fix patients’ problems, interacting with patients of all ages and backgrounds and being the person who can help them get back to their active lives. Outside of work he enjoys several sports with his family and international travel. He has performed medical mission work in Guatemala.
