Jessica Grote holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Purdue University West Lafayette, a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling and Counselor Education from Indiana University Bloomington, and is a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA). Grote previously served in a role with Purdue University football, where she contributed to the team’s success during two bowl game appearances. Her time in Big Ten athletics helps her relate to the unique demands student-athletes face, including the pressures of travel, competition schedules, and balancing athletics with personal well-being.
Grote specializes in working with student-athletes and individuals navigating transitions and injury recovery, helping them manage the emotional and psychological challenges that often accompany high-performance environments. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered, with a particular emphasis on high-achieving individuals and Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, which helps clients explore and integrate different aspects of themselves in a compassionate and empowering way. She is a provider at Dunn Associates, P.C., a counseling and psychology group private practice, and has been consulting with PFW Athletics since 2023.
