The 2020-21 academic year was Romain Lopez' first as a volunteer assistant coach for the Mastodons.
Lopez played for the Mastodons from 2017-19. He was named to the Summit League All-Newcomer Team in 2017. That same season he won a Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor. In 2018 he was named to the All-Summit League Academic team.
He played 33 games for the Mastodons and finished with eight total goals in his career. In 2018 he recorded 10 assists, second most in a season in program history and most during the NCAA Division I era for the 'Dons.
