Indianapolis, IN - The IPFW men's soccer team wrapped up the 2007 campaign with a 5-2 loss at IUPUI on Friday evening in Indianapolis.
The Jaguars (7-10-1, 5-1-0 SL) opened the scoring in the 17th minute as Eric Weigman converted a corner kick from Vangel Nacovski. It was Weigman's fourth goal of the year.
It looked like that would be the final as neither team scored again until the 71st minute. But after an Adrian Conrad goal for IUPUI, the flood gates opened up.
Just 1:44 later, at the 71:55 mark, IPFW sophomore Ben Haifley notched his second goal of the year, off of an assist from Ben Gamble.
At 76:12, IUPUI made it 3-1 as Weigman and Nacovski switched roles. Nacovski took a feed from Weigman and rolled a shot to the far post from about 20 yards out, for his seventh goal of the season.
The Jaguars got two more goals within a 30-second time span, including Nacovski's second of the match, making it 5-1.
IPFW finished off the scoring, as sophomore Boomer Roller got his first of the season with just six seconds left, making the final 5-2.
The loss put an end to the season which saw the Mastodons go 3-13-2, 0-6-0 SL.
