Loretto, PA - No. 11 IPFW got a team-high 16 kills from junior opposite Jason Yhost in sweeping St. Francis for the second time this year, 3-0.
The Mastodons topped the Red Flash by the scores of 30-24, 30-26, and 30-28.
It was, by far, the best game of the season for the left-hander from San Diego, California.
Yhost hit .407 (16-5-27) with seven digs, an assist, a block solo, and two block assists.
Junior outside hitter C.J. Macias put down 13 balls in the match.
Junior opposite Brock Ullrich, part of the "lefty-righty" combo used by head coach Arnie Ball, had 12 kills for IPFW, who hit .243 on the night.
Senior setter Colin Lundeen distributed the ball effeciently tonight with 41 assists.
St. Francis (11-8) was led by Marc Honore with 15 kills on .500 slugging.
The Mastodons improve to 13-6 with the win, their second-in-a-row.
IPFW completes its current eight-game non-conference swing with a match at #6 Penn State Saturday night at 7pm. IPFW swept Penn State back on January 13 at the Gates Center.
Next weekend, IPFW returns to MIVA action hosting Mercyhurst and Quincy.
