IPFW Fall Classic: Final Results

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The 2008 IPFW Fall Classic concluded this afternoon at Chestnut Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Mastodons finished in fourth place with an 880 total.
The overall team winner was Loyola-Chicago with a 856, followed by Wisconsin-Green Bay(866) and Butler(869).
The top finisher for the 'Dons was Tyler Haire, who fired a 71(-1) in the final round, and finished in a tie for 8th place with a 54-hole total of 217(+1). Finishing in a tie for 17th place was Eric Augustus, who fired the team's lowest round at the event with a 69 in round two, and finished the event with a 222 total., One stroke behind Augustus was Ryan Olbin with a 223, after carding an even par 72 in the final round. Jacob Bailey had a 54-hole total of 225, and finished in tie for 21st. Rounding out the starting five for IPFW was Patrick Kelley, who ended the event with a 227 total, and finished in 26th place.
The individual finishers for IPFW were Jon Balyeat and Johnny McMillen. Balyeat finished tied for 27th place with a 227 total, and McMillen fired a 54h-hole total of 241, good enough for 39th place.
Loyola-Chicago's Armando Favela took home medalist honors from the event after shooting a three-round total of 208(66-68-74). Kevin Sasena finished runner-up with a 209 total.
Next up for the men's golf team is the Austin Peay Intercollegiate in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The final round will begin on Monday, October 20.
