IPFW in Third at Loyola's Caputo Invitational

MUNDELEIN, Ill. - The IPFW Mastodons currently sit in third place of seven varsity teams at the Caputo Invitational hosted by Loyola University.
The 'Dons have a 36-hole team score of 608, two behind second-place Creighton and four behind first-day leader Loyola. North Dakota State (616), Wisconsin-Green Bay (620), Wright State (625) and Chicago State (646) round out the varsity teams in the field.
Leading the way for IPFW is Patrick Kelley, who shot 18-hole scores of 72 and 76, giving him a first-day score of 148, good for a tie of third place overall. Andy Campbell finished one stroke behind Kelley on the day, shooting a 77 and 72, a 148, placing him in a tie of fifth, while Hartley Mcleod shot a 73 and 78, totaling 151, tying for eighth place.
Nathan Hoff rounded out the scoring group for IPFW after the first day, shooting an 85 and 77, giving him a 36-hole score of 162, with Jon Bayleat close on his tail with scores of 89 and 76 (165). Golfing as individuals, Ryan Olbin carded a 163 (79-84), Eric Augustas a 166 (84-82) and Tyler Haire a 173 (89-84).
The squad takes back to the course on Tuesday, with the first tee times set for 9:30 AM CST.
