IPFW Women's Tennis Keeps Rolling against Valparaiso

Valparaiso, IN - The IPFW Mastodon women's tennis team (15-7) continued its winning streak, toppling the Valparaiso Crusaders (2-9) in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
The `Dons swept the doubles section, with Ashley Coulson and Stacy Lish winning 8-4 at No. 1 pairs, Sachi Janek and Amy Recht winning 8-6 at No. 2 and Hanna Hager and Alexa Rang rounding out the pairs with an 8-4 win at No. 3.
In singles, Janek (6-4, 6-0 at No. 2), Lish (6-2, 6-1 at No. 4), Hager (6-2, 6-2 at No. 5) and Molly Carpenter (7-5, 6-2 at No. 6) each won in straight sets, with Recht, the defending Summit League Player of the Week also winning; however, the match saw her 11-match streak of winning in straight sets end, winning 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
The squad now takes six days off before hosting Wright State University on Tuesday, April 15. After facing off against the Raiders, the `Dons host the second Summit League cluster on the weekend of April 18-20 before hosting the league championships a weekend later.
