Mastodons Fall to Wright State

Fort Wayne, IN- Wright State received a pair of goals from Amber Kasmer and another from Jess Rooma to top IPFW women's soccer team 3-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Dayton, Ohio. The Mastodons now move to 0-3 on the season.
Rooma, a senior, scored off a header from Sara Palermo nine minutes into the first half to give Wright State a 1-0 lead. Nine minutes later, Kasmer scored her first goal of the afternoon to give the Raiders a 2-0 advantage. Two minutes later, Kasmer netted another goal from just outside the box to make the score 3-0. The Mastodons had a chance to find the scoreboard in the first half with shots from Kateri Till and Alisen Surbey, but both attempts missed wide. Freshman Brittni Roy had two shots on the day, both in the second half. The `Dons finished with a total of seven shots on the afternoon.
For the third consecutive match, IPFW switched goalies at halftime. Freshman Kristen McFadden started the contest and finished with three saves. In the second half, Freshman Meagan McLaughlin subbed in and had two saves for IPFW.
Next up for the 'Dons is a home game this Friday against Bowling Green. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
