Central Michigan Tops IPFW

Mount Pleasant, MI- Despite its strongest offensive showing of the season, the IPFW women's soccer was defeated in a tight match against Central Michigan, 1-0, Friday night in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. IPFW is now 0-6 on the season, while Central Michigan moves to 5-1.
The lone goal on the evening came from Central Michigan's Amanda Waugh in the eighth minute when her crossing attempt near the sideline curved in off the post, to make the score 1-0. Clarie Horton added an assist on the tally. IPFW had a few chances late in the first half to make the score all square, but none of the shots could find the back of the net.
The Mastodons received shots on goal from Danielle Orlandella, Tara O'Toole, Jessica Scheffee, Brittany Climmons, Lauren McCracken and Brittni Roy.
Kristen McFadden played the entire game in goal, and made seven saves on the evening.
IPFW will take on Valparaiso this Sunday at Hefner Field. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
