MUNCIE, Ind. - The IPFW men's golf team finished its first round of play at the Ball State Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in Muncie, Indiana. The Mastodons are currently in seventh place with 36 lefts to play.
Monday's second round was suspended due to darkness and will resume Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. The final round will be completed Tuesday following the second round.
In the first round, IPFW fired a 298(+18) and trail tournament leader Bowling Green (284) by 14 shots heading into day two.
The 'Dons were led by Ryan Olbin, who fired a 71(+1), good enough for a tie for seventh place. Other IPFW scores were Jacob Bailey, who shot a 74 and is tied for 28th, Tyler Haire carded a 76 and is tied for 43rd, Jon Balyeat fired a 77 and is tied for 49th, and Patrick Kelley shot a 78, which puts him in a tie for 53rd.
