Fort Wayne, IN - The IPFW defense came out firing in full force on Wednesday night, holding the Indiana Tech Warriors to just 35 points (13 in the first half), and 11-of-50 shooting from the field (22.0 percent), winning in dominating fashion, 92-35.
Four players reached double figures in the scoring column, led by Anne Boese's 18 points, as Stephanie Rosado scored 15, Sydney Weinert tied a career-high with 14, and Sarah Haluska 13. Junior guard Jordan Zuppe dished out 10 assists, a new career-high, as the total is tied for the 10th most in school history, and the first person to dish out double-digit assists since Maggie Bruening did it against Air Force on January 7, 2004.

IPFW out-rebounded the Warriors 41-27, as Weinert pulled down eight rebounds to lead the team in the category for the second straight game. Sarah Hammond pulled down a career-best six boards against the NAIA squad, while scoring her first collegiate points on a pair of free throws earlier in the contest. IPFW nabbed 12 steals and blocked six shots, with Jackson leading the way with three steals, and each of the blocks coming from a different player.
IPFW's 92 points scored are the most in the Chris Paul era, and the most since January 5, 2004, when the team scored 102 against Morehead State, and the 35 points allowed are the fewest since IPFW allowed the same number of points against Indianapolis on January 29, 1984, a span of over 25 years between the two games.
IPFW made a blistering 62.5 percent (20-of-32) of their shots in the second half, and 56.3 percent (36-of-64) for the game, while holding Indiana Tech to 11-of-50 shooting for the game (22.0 percent), and 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from long range.
The win comes on the date of head coach Chris Paul's first game as head coach at IPFW, as he took the reigns of the program mid-season in 2004-05.
IPFW wasted little time in making the game lopsided, using a 16-0 run to take off to a 21-2 lead just over eight minutes into the game. The hosts then used runs of 5-0 and 8-0 to lead by 29 with two and a half minutes remaining in the game.
Indiana Tech made a rally by scoring eight straight points; however, that was the only time in the game that they ran off a run of more than three points.
The second half saw IPFW runs of 6-0, 11-0, 9-0, 7-0, and 8-0, as the hosts cruised to the 92-35 victory.
Ebony Robinson and former IPFW player Hannah Thieke each scored eight points for the Warriors, as Julie Stetzel pulled down five rebounds.
IPFW next returns to the court on Tuesday, December 29, when the team travels to Louisville, Kentucky, to take on the Cardinals of the University of Louisville at Freedom Hall, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM.
