Kansas City, MO. - The IPFW women's soccer team tied UMKC, 0-0, in double overtime on Thursday evening at Kansas City, Missouri, and are now 6-9-1 on the year (3-4-1 Summit League).
Thursday's match was the fourth time in the 2010 season that IPFW went into double overtime.
The Mastodons had a total of 11 shots with five being on goal, while the Kangaroos had nine shots with three on goal in the 110 minute scoreless match.
Junior Felicia Jones led the 'Dons offense with four shots, one being on goal, and sophomore Arianne Mason posted three shots with one on goal for the Royal Blue and White. Kristen McFadden played the full 110 minutes in the net and the junior recorded a total of three saves.
A total of 17 fouls occurred during the double overtime match, with 12 of those fouls belonging to UMKC.
The 'Dons will continue on the road for Saturday's (Oct. 30) match against the Thunderbirds of Southern Utah University at Cedar City, Utah with a 4:00 p.m. kick-off to close out the 2010 regular season.
