Kateri Till Earns First Her First Collegiate Goal

Shreveport, LA. - The IPFW women's soccer team defeated Centenary, 3-0, on Friday evening for its second straight conference win this season.

The Mastodons first conference win of the season came on Sunday in a 3-0 defeat over North Dakota State University and they now move to 5-6-0 (2-1-0 SL) after the win against Centenary, while the Ladies fall to 3-8-0 (0-2-0 SL).

At the 31:12 mark, Arianne Mason, with the assist from teammate Lisa Underwood, was able to get past CC's goalie, Kalyn Harris, for IPFW's first goal of the evening from 12 yards out. Mason picked up her third goal this season and gave the Mastodons the 1-0 led.

Less than a few minutes after returning from the locker rooms, IPFW was able to get on the scoreboard once again. Junior Kateri Till had her first collegiate goal off of a cross into the box from Felicia Jones from 25 yards out from the goal for the 2-0 led.

Also earning her first collegiate goal was freshman Cassie Egle . Junior Mastodon Brittany Climmons was able to get the ball into the box where Egle was able to beat Harris from 10 yards out with a low shot to the near post giving the Mastodons the win and the final score of 3-0.

IPFW outshot Centenary 25-2, while Jones and sophomore Danielle Bishop led the 'Dons with four shots each. Erin Nayler earned her second shut out this season after she played 73:42 minutes, while Kristen McFadden played the remainder of the match.

The Mastodons will continue traveling when they play the Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts at 2:00 PM (ET) on Sunday.
