Fort Wayne, IN - IPFW forced 37 turnovers and created 21 steals, while hitting 31-of-68 shots from the field, running away against NCAA Division III opponent Manchester College in the program's lone exhibition game of the season.

Anne Boese hit 6-of-9 three-point baskets for a game-high 26 points, as four others, Chelsey Jackson (15), Kayla Drake (12), Stephanie Rosado (11), and Sydney Weinert (10) also reached double figures in the win. Kim Kline was a point away from joining that group with nine points, as Jordan Zuppe dished out five assists and Drake giving out four helpers.

Rosado pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and five steals, with Weinert adding a half dozen boards, and Zuppe four steals. As a team, the Mastodons made 24-of-29 free throws for a percentage of 82.8.

The IPFW defense came out strong in the opening of the game, holding the Spartans without a field goal for the first 5:43 of the game, jumping out to a 15-1 lead previous to Manchester basket. With the score at 15-3, the Mastodons scored the next 12 points to lead by 24 at 27-3. The IPFW first half lead grew to as many as 28 at 42-14 before the Spartans closed the half on a 4-2 run to cut the deficit to 26 at 44-18.

A 15-2 run to start the second half put even more space between the teams, as IPFW's lead grew to 56 at the close of the game, giving IPFW the 96-40 victory.

Sarah Lowther scored a team-high 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field, while Kailey Honn dished out four assists and pulled down five rebounds, both team bests.

IPFW opens the 2010 regular season when it travels to East Lansing, Michigan, to take on 24th ranked Michigan State on Saturday, November 13. Tip-off for the game is slated for 3:00 PM at the Breslin Center.
