Mastodons Stand in 11th Place at Ball State Cardinal Collegiate

JASPER, Ind. - After two rounds of play, the IPFW men's golf team stands in 11th place at the Ball State Cardinal Collegiate in Jasper, Indiana. The third and final round will begin tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
After 36 holes, the Mastodons shot a 40-over team total of 616. They sit four strokes behind Youngstown State and five swings behind tournament-host Ball State. Detroit-Mercy, Bowling Green and Eastern Kentucky are in a three-team tie for atop the overall team leaderboard with a 596. Marshall is in fourth place and one stroke behind with a 597.
The Mastodons were led by Bruno Carvalho, who is currently in 19th place overall after firing a 150 (71-79).
Drew Imel is three strokes behind and tied for 32nd place, with a 153 (72-81). Tied for 40th place is Tomaz Pinheiro, who ended Saturday with a 155 (79-76). Ryan Olbin is tied for 55th place with a 158 (82-76) and Jon Balyeat shot a 173 (87-86) and is in 80th place.
Matt Schneider is the individual tournament leader after firing a 36-hole total of 142.
The Mastodons will look to move up the leaderboard bright and early in the morning.
