FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons open the 2011-12 regular season in Cincinnati, Ohi, where the 'Dons will face off against the Bearcats of Cincinnati, in a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.

QUICK HITTERS
• IPFW is 15-20 all-time in season openers, and are 0-8 all-time against teams from the Big East

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Cincinnati comes into the game after a 9-20 season the year before the difficult Big East Conference.
In its exhibition game, the Bearcats topped the Northern Kentucky Norse 72-66. Michigan transfer Dayeesha Hollins led Cincinnati with a game-high 18 points, while Jeanise Randolph and Chanel Chisolm scored 15 and 14 points, each.
Randolph pulled down nine rebounds to lead the team, as the Bearcats out-rebounded the Norse 33-26. Alyesha Lovett dished out three assists off of the bench, as Chisolm and Hollins each picked up two steals.
LAST TIME OUT
Despite seven players with eight or more points, including five in double figures, IPFW dropped its exhibition opener to Ashland on Tuesday evening, behind a 47-point second half by the Eagles, by a 79-74 final score.
Anne Boese scored a team-high 14 points, making 4-of-9 from long range, while Amanda Hyde scored 12, including five points in the final 14 seconds. Hillary Moore, in her first action in an IPFW uniform, scored 11 points, while twins Stefanie and Rachel Mauk each scored 10 in their Mastodon debut. Erin Murphy and Sarah Haluska narrowly missed double figures with nine and eight points, respectively.
Haluska, Moore, and Stefanie Mauk each pulled down six rebounds, while Hyde and Rachel Mauk dished out five and four assists apiece.
