• IPFW junior libero Tessa McGill was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on September 12, the fourth time in her career she has earned the honor
• Freshman outside hitter Kendall Wienkes tied the IPFW single-match three-set record with seven service aces against the Cowgirls of Wyoming.
• With 32 digs against DePaul on September 10, Tessa McGill now has six 30+ dig efforts in her career at IPFW.
• Emily Spencer has recorded double-figure kills in each of her first 11 matches this season, the longest streak by a freshman to open her IPFW career in program history, passing the former mark of nine held by IPFW career kill leader Fabiana Souza.
• Junior libero Tessa McGill has recorded double-figure digs in each of her last 19 games dating back to last season, tied for the second longest such streak in program history which gives her two of the three longest such streaks.
• McGill became the program's 14th member of the 1,000-dig club against Milwaukee, and now has 1,126 for her career, tied for ninth most in program history.
• McGill reached 1,000 career digs in just 69 matches, the quickest to the milestone of any player in program history.
• Emily Spencer has eight double-doubles in her 11 matches at IPFW, while Megan Steenhuysen has picked up two this season, giving her 28 in her career, the ninth most over a career in program history.
• IPFW assistant coach Jasmine Fullove is the niece of Ball State head coach Steve Shondell, and her younger sister, Jaclyn is a freshman setter on the Cardinal squad. The coaching family continues as two other of Jasmine's uncles are coaches at Purdue, Dave Shondell the head coach and John Shondell an assistant coach.
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS...
IUPUI comes into the match after being swept in its Summit League-opening weekend, falling in five sets to both South Dakota State and North Dakota State, and have a 5-8 overall record on the year.
Moriah Fair has been the workhorse for the offense, leading the squad with 140 kills (3.04 per set), while Kalyse Reimbold has 106, and Bethany Fogler 93. Alexis Meeks has dished out 425 assists this season to lead the team, as Shari Bernhardt and Ellyn Jones each have 10 service aces to tie for the team lead.
Bernhardt has 246 digs (5.23 per set) to lead the team, as Beth Howard has also reached triple digits with 101. Fogler has a team-best 54 blocks (1.15 per set), with Kortni Wright (30) Fair (27) and Kelsey Hoefer (27) averaging over half a block per set.
