Fort Wayne, IN - Coming off of a thrilling five-set victory over the IUPUI Jaguars on Tuesday evening, the IPFW Mastodons stay in conference play this coming weekend, facing off against the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State on Friday evening, and the Bison of North Dakota State on Saturday.

QUICK HITTERS
• IPFW junior libero Tessa McGill was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on September 12, the fourth time in her career she has earned the honor
• Freshman outside hitter Kendall Wienkes tied the IPFW single-match three-set record with seven service aces against the Cowgirls of Wyoming.
• With 32 digs against DePaul on September 10, Tessa McGill now has six 30+ dig efforts in her career at IPFW.
• Emily Spencer has recorded double-figure kills in each of her first 12 matches this season, the longest streak by a freshman to open her IPFW career in program history, passing the former mark of nine held by IPFW career kill leader Fabiana Souza.
• Junior libero Tessa McGill has recorded double-figure digs in each of her last 20 games dating back to last season, the second longest such streak in program history which gives her two of the three longest such streaks.
• McGill became the program's 14th member of the 1,000-dig club against Milwaukee, and now has 1,152 for her career, is ninth most in program history.
• McGill reached 1,000 career digs in just 69 matches, the quickest to the milestone of any player in program history.
• Emily Spencer has nine double-doubles in her 12 matches at IPFW, while Megan Steenhuysen has picked up three this season, giving her 30 in her career, the ninth most over a career in program history.
• IPFW assistant coach Jasmine Fullove is the niece of Ball State head coach Steve Shondell, and her younger sister, Jaclyn is a freshman setter on the Cardinal squad. The coaching family continues as two other of Jasmine's uncles are coaches at Purdue, Dave Shondell the head coach and John Shondell an assistant coach.
SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS...
South Dakota State is off to an incredible start to its 2011 season with an 11-4 overall record, including a perfect 3-0 in Summit Lague play.
The key to the Jackrabbit offense is balance, as four players: Kelly Fiegen (189), Kaitlyn Klingemann (134), Ellyce Youngren (115), and Kelly Herrmann (100) have eclipsed the 100-kill plateau.
Lexi Fowler directs the offense and has 545 assists (9.91 per set), while five players, led by Klingemann's 21, have double-figure service aces. Shay Birath has 264 digs for the team lead, while Fiegen has 59 blocks, most on the squad.
SCOUTING THE BISON...
The 2010 Summit League Tournament Champion Bison come into the weekend with a 9-5 overall record, and 3-0 in the league this season.
Brynn Joki leads the Bison with 162 kills, while Lauren Cammack has 130 and two-time Summit League Player of the Year Chrissy Knuth has 104. Jennifer Lopez leads the team with 517 assists, while Cammack has 21 service aces, leading a trio of players in double figures in the category.
Four players have triple-figure digs, led by Andrea Henning who has 187, while Joni has 123, Knuth 110, and Lopez 102. Knuth leads the NDSU block with 38 total blocks, followed by Janna Deyle (31) and Megan Lambertson (29).
