Yovich Named Athletic Director at Owens Community College

Fort Wayne, IN - Current IPFW Assistant Athletic Director for Media Services Rudy Yovich has been named the new Athletic Director at Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio.
"We are sad to see Rudy leave, but excited that he is able to move on to such a great position," said IPFW Director of Athletics Tommy Bell.
Yovich, who is in his ninth year with IPFW, has been involved with two web site re-builds, the addition of multi-media to the website, and was the road play-by-play voice of the IPFW men's basketball and baseball teams. He also oversaw the cross country and track & field teams, as well as the pep band and the cheerleaders.
"It has been my privilege to work with the outstanding student-athletes, coaches and administrative staff here at IPFW for the past eight-plus years," said Yovich. "I'd like to thank former Athletic Director Mark Pope for giving me the opportunity to become part of the family here at IPFW, and I'd especially like to thank current Athletic Director Tommy Bell for being a mentor and a friend."
