Mastodons Close Homestand Saturday Against Grizzlies

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - IPFW closes its season-long four-game homestand on Saturday, when the Mastodons (9-7, 3-4 Summit League) host the Oakland Grizzlies in a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Memorial Coliseum.

SCOUTING THE GRIZZLIES
The Golden Grizzlies come into Saturday's game after snapping its six-game losing skid with a 93-81 win against IUPUI on Saturday, January 7.
In that game, Reggie Hamilton scored a game-high 31 points, while Corey Petros added 20 off of the bench for the Grizzlies. Drew Valentine scored nine points while grabbing eight rebounds, with Ryan Bass dishing out a game-high-tying five assists.
For the year the team is led by Summit League leading scorer Reggie Hamilton, who currently sits third in NCAA in points per game averaging 23.2 points per game, including a 41-point outburst at Valparaiso on December 17.
Four others, Travis Bader (13.2), Valentine (12.1), Laval Lucas-Perry (10.7), and Petros (10.0) average in double-figure scoring for the season. Petros pulls down a team-best 8.3 rebounds per game, as Hamilton has dished out 82 assists and picked up 48 steals, each team-bests, and the steals marking the high-water mark in the Summit league.
