VERMILLION, S.D. - The Mastodons got a pair of goals from senior Arianne Mason, and another from Rachel Good, as IPFW ran past the South Dakota Coyotes by a 3-0 score on Friday evening.

The win improves IPFW to 7-6 on the season, and increases the team's win streak to a single-season school record-tying three.

Senior midfielder Tylar Allison tied the career school record for assists with the 10th of her career, tying her with Shacina Hersey (2000-03) while freshman goalkeeper Sam Pavlika picked up her fourth shutout of the season, tying the single-season school record in the process.

Pavlika picked up the first assist of her young career when she punted the ball in the 29th minute of the game, sending in a deep ball that the Coyotes misplayed right to the feet of Good, who beat USD goalkeeper Jen Schaefer one-v-one for the eventual game-winning goal.

The goal, 29:40 into the game, was the only goal of the opening period, as the Mastodons went into the locker room with a 1-0 lead.

Just over six minutes into the second half Arianne Mason took a pass from Tessa Edwards, and headed the ball into the back of the net to give IPFW a two-goal advantage. With 4:45 to play in the game, Mason scored her second of the game off of the record-tying assist from Allison, giving the game its 3-0 final score.

The Mastodons out-shot the Coyotes 14-11, and led in corner kicks 7-5. Pavlika, who dropped her goals against average to 0.98, picked up three saves.

The Mastodons return to action on Sunday, September 14 when the squad faces off against the Kansas City Kangaroos in a 5 p.m. kickoff.
