CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The IPFW Mastodons shot a final-round 344, placing 10th in the field at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, hosted by Austin Peay.
Jacksonville State, the round one leader, shot a 299 for the second round to finish in the top spot with a two-day score of 600. Morehead State (615), Southern Illinois (627), Murray State (630), and Austin Peay (638) rounded out the top five, while Belmont (650), Lipscomb (650), SIU Edwardsville (652), and Tennessee Tech (655) all finished ahead of IPFW's 675.
Ashton Taft shot the low round for the Mastodons on day two with an 85, while Allison Curtis and Alyssa Turney each carded an 86. Brenna Sherwood shot an 87 for the second straight day, while Sydney Bailey carded a final-round 89.
Over the two rounds, Curtis was the team's top golfer with a 163, placing in a tie for 29th, while Taft shot a 168 (tie-42nd). Turney and Bailey each ended with a 173, good for a tie fo 52nd, while Brenna Sherwood had a 174 for a tie of 56th place.
The team closes out its fall season next weekend at the University of Dayton Fall Invitational hosted at the NCR Country Club on October 22 and 23.
