PHIILADELPHIA, Miss. - The IPFW men's golf team opened its 2012 season shooting an 18-hole team total of 326 on day one of the Frito Lay/Taco Bell Intercollegiate at Dancing Rabbit Golf Course in Philadelphia, Miss. The two-day, 36-hole tournament is hosted by Jackson State.
The Mastodons stand in 10th place in the 14-team field. McNeese State leads the pack with a 302, followed by Georgia Southwestern (303) and Jackson State (306).
John McMillen and Jacob Bailey led IPFW with rounds of 80 in the first round. The pair of 'Dons sit tied for 26th place overall.
Drew Imel is in 40th place after firing an 82, while Jacob Groninger managed a 84 and is in 51st place. Patrick Kundenreich carded a 93 and stands in 71st place.
The second and final round will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning.
