
Consistent Rounds Have IPFW in Contention at C&F Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Competing in a large and talented field of 29 teams, the IPFW men's golf team fired a first day total of 293 to stand in 10th place at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate.
IPFW is 11 strokes out of first place and shares the 10th spot with Georgetown, Loyola (Md.) and Western Carolina. Missouri leads the team competition with a 282, holding a two-shot cushion over UNCG.
Patrick Kundenreich led the Mastodons with a even-par 71, posting two birdies and two bogeys. He sits tied for 14th place in the individual competition.
Bruno Carvalho and Jacob Groninger each posted a two-over 73 to sit tied for 37th place. Both 'Dons finished strong with even-par 35's on the back nine.
Drew Imel is tied for 80th place in the 150-man field, shooting a five-over 76. Eddie Tackett finished the Mastodon scoring with an 83 (T-137).
Emilio Cuartero of Missouri fired the best round of the day and leads by one after shooting a five-under 66.
The Mastodons return to the course tomorrow morning for round two of the three-day, 54-hole event.
