SCOUTING THE BISON

NDSU won their first two games of the 2012-13 season, but followed that effort with a three-game losing streak. A 61-56 win over Prairie View A&M pushed their win total to three, but another losing streak pushed their overall record to 3-8. ALL-TIME SERIES
North Dakota State leads the all-time series over IPFW 12-3. The Mastodons played North Dakota State for the first time during the 1996-97 season and the Bison recorded an 83-55 victory at home. The next meeting between the two programs came during the 2005-06 season. The Bison won the first matchup 79-68 in Fargo, but IPFW came back to claim a 77-64 win over NDSU that same season in Fort Wayne. That season was significant as Chris Paul took over head coaching duties of the team on Dec. 21, 2005 after Bruce Patterson resigned from the position halfway through the season.
NDSU recorded two more wins over IPFW in 2006-07, the final season that IPFW would play as an independent before joining the Summit League in 2007-08. The Mastodons recorded two additional wins after sweeping NDSU during the 2010-11 season with a 68-55 road win and a 79-46 win at home.
