
Mastodons Card Season Low at UT-Martin

FINAL RESULTS
BUCHANAN, Tenn. - IPFW carded its best three-round score since the 2012 Summit League Championships, as the team's total of 880 stands as a tie for the fourth-best team score in program history.
IPFW's 880 put the team 12th in the field, 14 strokes out of 4th place overall, and ahead of UT-Martin (orange) (883), Christian Brothers (884), Tennessee State (892), and Bethel (TN) (932). Lee won the event with a three-round total of 840, while UT-Martin took second with an 847, and Murray State third with an 862.
Jacob Groninger's three-under 213 (71-70-72) tied him for 10th in the field, and also a tie for third-best three-round total in school history. Drake Devereux shot an even-par 216 (70-73-73) for the weekend, tied for the eighth-best three-round score in school history, tying for 17th overall in the field.
Dan Wert shot a three-round total of 225 (77-73-75) to tie for 63rd, as Carter Dornseif was the team's third or fourth golfer in all three rounds with a 227 (77-76-74), tying for 68th place overall. Devin Jenkins shot rounds of 76, 79, and 77 for a total of 232, placing 77th. Playing as individuals, Sam Hardiwck shot a 228 (78-73-77) to tie for 72nd, as Daniel Shepard shot a 236 (80-80-76) to take 79th.
The Mastodons close out their 2013 fall season on October 14 and 15 at the Dayton Invitational, hosted at the NCR Country Club.
