Mastodons Prepare for Final Games of WNIT

CHICAGO, Ill. - The IPFW women's basketball will wrap up their first ever appearance in the Preseason WNIT in a pair of games hosted by Loyola-Chicago this weekend. The 'Dons will take on the host Ramblers on Friday, November 15 and then will play at 10 p.m. the following night, Saturday, November 16 versus either Mount St. Mary's or Idaho. It would be the first meeting between IPFW and all three potential opponents.

Scouting the Ramblers
Loyola dropped their opening game of the season in the Peseason WNIT to last year's national runner-up ND 5th ranked Louisville 101-54. Loyola's Taylor Johnson led the Ramblers with 18 points.
The Ramblers are under first tear head coach Sheryl Swoops. Swoops in a four-time WNBA champion, NCAA champion, and three-time Olympic gold medalist. Swoops played her college ball at Texas Tech from 1991-93.
In addition to a new coach, the Ramblers have a new conference. Loyola enter their first season as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference after being a part of the Horizon League. Loyola returns four starters and nine letterwinners from last year's 17-win squad and, as a result, the Ramblers return 68.7% of its scoring and 78.8% of its rebounding from a season ago.
