Men's Basketball Looks to Keep Win Streak Alive in Georgia

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Mastodons will look to keep their three-game win streak alive on Sunday afternoon when the squad faces off against the Kennesaw State Owls in a 2 p.m. tip-off.

In the win over Chattanooga, Yonel Brown scored a team-high 21 points, as Bernard Morena scored 15, and Nigel Pruitt 13. Pruitt led the team with seven rebounds, while also pacing the squad by dishing out six of the team's 10 assists in the game. Brown had five steals, as three players - Morena, Orlando Coleman, and Willy Kouassi - each had one blocked shot.
On the year the squad is led by Delbert Love who averages 11.8 points per game, as Coleman also averages in double figures at 10.0. Three others: Moreno, Brown, and Pruitt are just off of the double-figure scoring pace averaging 9.5, 9.0, and 8.7 points per game each.

Evans also added four assists as well as seven rebounds for the Mastodons, who out-rebounded the Peregrines 43-to-27.
IPFW's 24 assists are a new season-high, while the team had a 24-to-10 assist-to-turnover ratio. Evans had a team-best four steals for the Mastodons, who had 12 steals in the contest.

SCOUTING THE OWLS
Kennesaw State comes into the Sunday match-up having won two of its last three contests, with a 44-point win over Warren Wilson, and a 73-69 win over Chattanooga.

IPFW VS. THE ATLANTIC SUN
IPFW has faced off against half of the Atlantic Sun's 10 teams, including meeting up with Northern Kentucky 17 times as members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in NCAA Division II. Overall, IPFW is 12-11 against teams currently in the A-Sun.
LAST TIME OUT
The IPFW Mastodons jumped out to a 23-9 lead early in the first half, and never looked back, cruising to the team's third straight win with a 106-72 win over the Purdue Calumet Peregrines at the Gates Sports Center on Wednesday afternoon.
