Men's Soccer Falls in Season Finale to Mavericks

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Mavericks scored twice in a minute and a half span late in the first half, as the hosts used the momentum to top the Mastodons 4-0 in each squad's season finale.
IPFW had five shots in the match, one each from Jacob Murphy, Scott Williams, Jose Rodriguez, Spencer Brown, and Corey Tom, while goalkeeper Raphael Kotzock stopped a career-high nine shots in the loss.
The teams played through a scoreless first 34 minutes, before Omaha's Christian Garcia scored his fourth goal of the season to put the hosts ahead 1-0. A minute and a half later the Mavericks added to their lead with just under ten minutes remaining in the first half, pushing the hosts to a 2-0 halftime lead.
Goals in the 52nd and 77th minutes closed the door on the match, as the 'Dons fell 4-0.
Omaha took 26 shots in the match, 13 of those on goal, as each of the team's four goals were scored by different players.
