Men's Golf Leads After First Day At The John Dallio Memorial

LEMONT, Ill. - With two rounds in the books, the IPFW men's golf team holds a three-stroke lead at the John Dallio Memorial with a score of 607.
Hosted by DePaul University as the par-72 Ruffled Feathers Golf Club, the course is being played at 6,898 yards. The Mastodons hold their lead over second place Columbia and Summit League rival IUPUI. The 'Dons also hold a 20-stroke lead over fellow Summit League school Western Illinois. Brandon Jowers of Columbia leads the 69-player field after shooting a 7-under-par 137.
David Watterson led IPFW on the day, shooting a 1-over-par 145 to sit alone in second place. Watterson carded seven birdies for the day and added an eagle on the par-5, 510-yard No. 15. He was one of only two golfers to record an eagle on the day.
Clark Tiller sits one stroke back of Watterson in a tie for third, shooting a second-round 1-under-par 71, to finish the day at 146. The freshman carded seven birdies over the two rounds. In a tie for 28th is Tyler Meyer, carding a 157 over the 36-holes. Devin Jenkins recorded a two-round score of 159 to finish tied for 35th. Logan Barker wrapped up his first day on the course in a tie for 58th, shooting a 167.
The final round of the John Dallio Memorial will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on October 5.
