Mastodons Finish 13th at NYX Hoosier Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - In the final round of the NYX Hoosier Invitational, the IPFW men's golf team finished 13th carding a 904 for the 54-hole tournament.
Hosted by Indiana University at the par-71 IU Golf Course, the tournament was played at 6,813 yards. Indiana took home the team title with a two-day score of 853. Brett McIntosh of Michigan won the medalist honors in the 73-player field, finishing the weekend with a 4-under-par 209.
Jacob Groninger fired a final-round 75 to pace the Mastodons with a 224 for the tournament to finish in a tie for 38th. Tied for 52nd were Carter Dornseif and Devin Jenkins, carding a two-day total of 227, respectively. Daniel Shepard finished the tournament in a tie for 63rd, shooting a 230. Drake Devereux rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons, firing a 54-hole 232, tying for 67th place.
IPFW heads to Keller, Texas for the Summit League Championship beginning on April 21.
