IPFW Athletics Inducts New Class of Hall of Fame

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW Athletic Department added four new members to its Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday evening, as the Hall of Fame added Tony Luhning (men's volleyball), Ian Luya (men's soccer), Bruce Roland (men's basketball), and Robin Scott (women's basketball).
Luhning, who lives in Belgium and was unable to attend the event, gave his acceptance speech via video. Luhning was a 1991 All-American, and ranks second in the program's history with 778 career digs and 10th with 1,363 kills.
Luya was a key member of the 1999 NCAA Elite Eight squad that finished with a program-best 17-4-2 record. He scored 27 goals in his career, which ranks fifth in school history, and his 63 total points rank sixth.
Roland, a two-time First Team All-GLVC honoree, scored 1,477 career points, third-most in school history. His 672 points in 1987-88 is the single-season IPFW record, and he has two of the top individual scoring efforts with 41 points and 37 points in back-to-back games.
Scott, an All-GLVC honoree, was a part of the golden era of IPFW women's basketball, as she helped lead her squads to a four-year record of 63-46, the second-best four-year record in program history. Her 1,527 career points rank seventh in program history.
