
2026 Hall of Fame Class Announced

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The 2026 Purdue University Fort Wayne Athletic Hall of Fame class was announced on Wednesday (Dec. 10).
The 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Saturday, Jan. 31 at a brunch prior to Purdue Fort Wayne's men's basketball home game with Robert Morris. Hall of Fame inductees will also be honored at halftime of the contest. Their plaques will be added to the Hall of Fame display in the lobby of the Gates Sports Center.
This year's class includes:
John Konchar | Men's Basketball | 2014-19
Konchar is the most decorated player in program history. He was the first player in NCAA Division I history to reach 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 500 assists and 200 steals. He was a four-time All-Summit League First Team selection. Konchar helped the Mastodons to a Summit League regular season title in 2015-16, and averaged 20 wins per season in his four years on the court. In program history, he ranks first in rebounds (1,150), second in points (2,065), second in assists (554), second in steals (272) and seventh in blocks (78). He is a seven-year NBA veteran with the Memphis Grizzlies, becoming the first Mastodon to play in the NBA.
Peachy Jankowski | Women's Volleyball | 2004-07
Jankowski was one of the all-time great liberos in Mastodon women's volleyball history, leading the 'Dons to 95 wins in her four-year career. She played for the Mastodons in their final three years as an independent, then led the 'Dons to the Summit League Championship match in their first season in the league in 2007. Her name is littered throughout the women's volleyball record book, with 2,253 digs in her career being the second-most in program history. She won eight Defensive Player of the Week awards and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2005. She was a First Team All-Independent selection in 2006.
Mike Maahs | Broadcaster
Maahs has been the been the voice of the Mastodons for 31 seasons, calling his first game on Nov. 18, 1995. Maahs has described the action of basketball and volleyball games on both television, radio and ESPN+. He has also hosted multiple weekly highlight shows for the department. He has been advocate for the Mastodons in the Fort Wayne community. Maahs has also been the long-time radio voice of the Fort Wayne Tincaps/Wizards.
1999 Men's Soccer Team
The 1999 men's soccer team will be enshrined as a team. They will become just the second team to be inducted into the hall of fame, joining the 2007 men's volleyball squad. The 1999 Mastodons won the Great Lakes Valley Conference and defeated Truman State in the NCAA Tournament for a school-record 17 victories. Terry Stefankiewicz was named the GLVC Coach of the Year, with Matt Hein earning GLVC Player of the Year honors. Hein and Jeff Richey were named All-Americans.
