
2024 Hall of Fame Class Announced

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Six illustrious Mastodons make up the 2024 Purdue University Fort Wayne Athletic Hall of Fame class, announced on Friday (Oct. 6).
The 2024 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Sunday, Feb. 4 at a brunch during Purdue Fort Wayne's annual Homecoming week. Their plaques will be added to the Hall of Fame display in the lobby of the Gates Sports Center.
Felipe Ralat / Men's Volleyball / 1992-95
Ralat helped the Mastodons to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances. Ralat's name appears in multiple top 10 lists for the 'Dons. He is third in block assists (415), third in total blocks (514), fourth in blocks per set (1.37), fifth in career points (1,849.5) and eighth in kills (1,468). He was an All-MIVA First Team pick in 1995 and picked up an AVCA National Player of the Week honor as the 'Dons went 20-8 and 9-1 in MIVA play. He was named to the All-MIVA Tournament Team the same season.
Shannon Lynn / Women's Soccer / 2004-06
Lynn ranks as the program leader in saves with 294. She earned five United Soccer Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors in 2006. She graduated as the program leader in shutouts with nine and still ranks third in the category. Lynn went on to have an accomplished professional career. She was a member of the National Team for Scotland and played professionally primarily with Swedish Damallsvenskan League for Vittsjo GIK. She won the Scottish Players' Player of the Year award for 2011.
Rebekah Roehm / Women's Volleyball / 2006-09
Roehm was a All-Summit League First Team selection in 2008 and 2009 as well as an Independent All-League Honorable Mention pick in 2006. She was the Summit League Tournament MVP in 2009 after guiding the 'Dons to the league title and their first Division I NCAA berth. An offensive workhorse, she still owns two of the top four matches in program history in attacks including a Summit League-record 94 attack attempts at Oakland in 2009. Her 1,506 career kills rank sixth in program history. She is one of eight players in program history with over 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She ranks ninth in program history in aces (151).
Max Touloute / Men's Soccer / 2008-11
Touloute was a Summit League First Team pick in 2010 and 2011, adding Second Team honors in 2009 and All-Newcomer Team accolades in 2008. Touloute finished his four-year Mastodon career as the Division I era program leader in goals (32) and points (78). His 14 assists are second during the DI era. His 2011 season was his best with 13 goals and nine assists on his way to the 2011 Summit League Offensive Player of the Year Award and an All-Region Second Team Pick the same season. He also earned a Summit League All-Tournament Team honor after scoring in the first nine seconds of the match against Oral Roberts. He earned four Summit League Offensive Player of the Week Awards in 2011. The total ranks second all-time in Summit League history for honors in a season and is tied for fifth in league history for awards in a career.
Frank Gaines / Men's Basketball / 2008-13
Gaines graduated as the program leader in career points with 1,841 and now sits third behind only Jarred Godfrey and John Konchar. Gaines did much of his work from the free throw line, ranking second in program history in made free throws (500) and attempts (672). He also ranks in the top 10 in made field goals (6th, 601), rebounds (7th, 561) and steals (10th, 130). He was a two-time All-Summit League First Team selection as well as earning an All-Summit League Honorable Mention nod. In 2011-12 he averaged 21.2 points per game, ninth in the NCAA that season and second best in the NCAA Division I era for the 'Dons. Gaines was drafted into the NBA D-League (now G-League) and was named the circuit's 2014 Most Improved Player. He is still active professionally overseas.
Tim Heffron / Men's Volleyball Student-Athlete / Women's Volleyball Head Coach / Administrator
Heffron was a member of the Mastodon men's volleyball team from 1986-90, helping the 'Dons win the 1989 regular season title. He went on to serve as head coach of the women's program from 1993-98. Heffron was a two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year pick after guiding the 'Dons to a league title and NCAA appearance in 1996 and a NCAA berth in 1998. He finished with a career record of 157-62 (.717 percent). From there he served in multiple administrator roles for the athletic department. Heffron oversaw financial operations for multiple decades while serving as a sport administrator. He was part of the team that managed the transition of the Mastodons to Division I in the early 2000s. He retired from the university in 2019.
