OMAHA, Neb. - The IPFW men's basketball team will look for a weekend sweep on Saturday afternoon when the team takes on the Omaha Mavericks in a 2 p.m. ET first tip.

QUICK HITTERS
• One game after having no player reach double figure scoring against South Dakota State, six Mastodons reached double figures against North Dakota State.

SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS
Omaha comes into the game having dropped six of its last seven games, including an 86-64 loss at South Dakota State on January 28.
In the loss to the Jackrabbits, Mike Rostampour picked up an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double. C.J. Carter scored a dozen points, as Tre-Shawn Thurman added 10. Carter led the team with four steals and a blocked shots, while dishing out two assists, tied for the team-high with Devin Patterson.
As a team, the Mavericks average a league-best 78.1 points per game, nearly five points per game better than any other team in the league; however, Omaha gives up 79.6 points per game, over eight points more than any other Summit League squad.
For the year, Carter has scored 17.3 points per game, second-best in the Summit League. Marcus Tyus averages 12.4 points per game, while Patterson has scored 12.3. Two others, Rostampour (9.8) and Thurman (9.5) are just off of the double-figure pace.
Rostampour pulls down 7.6 rebounds per game, while Thurman and Jake White have grabbed 5.7 and 5.6 rebounds per game, each. Patterson leads the Summit League by averaging 4.4 assists per game, and 2.3 steals per contest. Thurman averages just over one blocked shot per game (23 in 20 games) to lead the squad.
SIGNIFICANT TURNAROUND
The IPFW men's basketball team went four days between games in which the team had no players reach double-figure scoring (January 21 against South Dakota State) to having the team have six players reach double-figure scoring (January 24 against North Dakota State).

In IPFW's 69-53 win over Denver on January 8, the Mastodons allowed the Pioneers just 10 total rebounds. That total is tied for the fourth fewest in a NCAA Division I basketball game since 1996-97.
