Mastodons Host South Dakota For Senior Day

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – IPFW women's soccer team takes on South Dakota for the final home match of the regular season on Sunday, November 1 at Hefner Soccer Complex at 12 p.m. The 'Dons will honor Brooke Bishir, Kelsie Carlson, Tessa Edwards, Erin Gill, Rachel Good, and Krysta Hedrick as a part of Senior Day.

Scouting the Mastodons
The Mastodons will wrap up their regular season trying to be an upset team to the Coyotes, as South Dakota, South Dakota State, and Denver are competing for the final two spots in the Summit League Tournament. Rachel Good leads the team with 11 points, coming off three goals and five assists, while seven other Mastodons have earned two goals each thus far this season. Kiley Dunning has 125 saves through 18 matches with three shutouts.
Scouting the Coyotes
Corey Strang leads the Coyotes with 18 points, coming from seven goals and four assists, while Sammie Villwock brings 10 points, coming from four goals and two assists. Sydney Hardin is the team's leading goalkeeper with 55 saves and three shutouts.
Previous Meeting
IPFW was in a scoreless battle with South Dakota until the 85th when the Coyotes scored the lone goal of the match on October 5, 2014. Former Mastodon Sam Pavilka earned ten saves, while Kassidy Simpkins and Kallianne Mogler each took a shot.
Nationally Ranked
Entering the weekend, Mastodon sophomore goalkeeper Kiley Dunning currently tied for fourth nationally in NCAA Division I women's soccer for most saves (125) and tied for tenth in saves per game (6.94). Additionally, Dunning leads the Summit League in both categories.
Senior Day
IPFW seniors Kelsie Carlson, Tessa Edwards, Brooke Bishir, Erin Gill, Rachel Gill, and student assistant coach Krysta Hedrick will be honored prior to the match against South Dakota. The seniors helped the women's soccer program reach the 2013 Summit League Semifinals and the 2012 Summit League Championship.
