FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- IPFW will host Stetson University of the Atlantic Sun Conference on Saturday afternoon, December 19, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne beginning at 1 p.m. The Mastodons (8-4) of second-year head coach Jon Coffman will be playing the visiting Hatters (4-7) for just the second time ever, after defeating SU (87-76) last season on December 3, 2014 in DeLand, Florida. Through 12 games, IPFW has been led by the backcourt trio of junior Mo Evans/Indianapolis (16.4), redshirt-senior Max Landis/Indianapolis (14.8) and redshirt-freshman John Konchar/Chicago, Ill. (10.3). Stetson is coached by Corey Williams, who is in his 3rd season at SU, while the Hatters have been led by freshman Derick Newton (15.0 points).

The Mastodons led 7-4 at 16:13 following a basket inside from Racine Talla, the first three-pointer by Landis and another basket inside, this time from Brent Calhoun. APSU, however, used a 16-5 run to lead 20-12 at 12:00. The Mastodons answered with six-straight points, including another three-pointer by Landis, to make it 20-18 at 8:32, and a pair of free throws from Michael Calder tied it at 23-23 with 4:21 on the first-half clock. The Governors outscored their hosts 10-6 over the final 4:09 to lead 33-29 at halftime.
