Men's Golf 10th After First Day at Gary Freeman Invite

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - After two rounds of the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational, the IPFW men's golf team sits in 10th place with a 36-hole score of 336-333-669.
The two-day 54-hole tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,913-yard LPGA International Golf Course - Hills Course.
Florida Atlantic sits atop the team leaderboard with a score of 606 on the day, two strokes better than Army. Cody Christensen of Florida Atlantic and Marcus Plunkett of Army are tied at the top of the 80-player field with 2-over-par 146 for the two rounds.
After day one, Devin Jenkins leads the Mastodons in a tie for 31st place with a 36-hole score of 83-80-163. David Watterson sits one stroke back in a tie for 34th, shooting 80-84-164. Tied for 45th is Drake Devereux who carded rounds of 85-84-169. Daniel Shepard finished the day in 54th place with a two-round score of 88-85-173. Clark Tiller rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons in 56th place with scores of 88-88-176.
Tyler Meyer played as an individual for IPFW and finished the day shooting 90-87-177 to finish in 57th place.
The final round of the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
