HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Through 36 holes at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular, the IPFW men's golf team sits in 18th place with rounds of 326-330=656 for the day.

George Mason hosts the event at the par-72, 6,884-yard El Campéon Golf Course at the Mission Inn Resort. Virginia Tech holds a 10-stroke lead after shooting a team score of 577 over two rounds. George Kilgore of East Carolina leads the 104-player field with a 4-under-par 140.

All six Mastodon golfers finished the day separated by just seven strokes. David Watterson paced the 'Dons with scores of 82-80=162 to finish tied for 79th. With rounds of 78-87=165 Drake Devereux ended the day tied for 88th place. One stroke back in a tie for 90th is Devin Jenkins and Daniel Shepard, both shooting consecutive rounds of 83 for the day. Clark Tiller rounded out the scoring in 94th place shooting 83-84=167 for 36 holes.

Playing as an individual, Tyler Meyer ended his two rounds carding an 89-80=169 and finishing tied in 97th.

The final round of the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular will be an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start on March 15.
