Mastodons Jump One Spot After Final Round

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - With a final round team score of 314, the IPFW men's golf team surpassed La Salle in the standings to finish 28th at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate with a three-day score of 947.

Hosted by The College of William & Mary at the par-70 River Course at the Kingsmill Resort, the course was played at 6,765 yards. Radford defeated Loyola in a three-hole playoff after both teams tied atop the team leaderboard with scores of 859. Matt Oshrine of Loyola captured medalist honors with a 2-under-par 208.

Devin Jenkins tied the lowest round of the tournament for the Mastodons, a 3-over-par 73, to finish the week tied for 48th with a score of 222. David Watterson carded a tournament total 241 to finish tied for 140th. Clark Tiller ended the week tied for 148th with a 54-hole score of 246. In a tie for 151st was Oliver Gibson shooting a 249. Drake Devereux capped off the scoring for the 'Dons with a 251 to finish in 153rd place.

IPFW competes next at the two-day Bradley Spring Invitational beginning April 3.
