SEASIDE, Calif. - Coming off its best finish in Summit League history, the IPFW women's golf team looks to continue its ascent up the standings during the three-day 2015 Summit League Championship at the Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, California. This year marks the first time the championship will be held in California.

Event: The 2015 Summit League Golf Championship
Host: The Summit League
When: April 20-22
Where: Bayonet Golf Course - Seaside, California
Par: 72
Yardage: 6,025
Format: 18 holes on April 20, 21, and 22

COMPETING TEAMS
IPFW will compete against eight other teams. The Mastodons will be joined by: Denver, IUPUI, North Dakota State, Omaha, Oral Roberts, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and Western Illinois.
THE COURSE
Bayonet re-opened in December 2008 as part of a $13 million renovation by Bates Golf Design Group. The course underwent dramatic view-shed alterations and hole re-routings to reveal new, breathtaking ocean vistas and improved playing options (including new bentgrass greens). It was included in Golf Digest's "Best New Courses" issue for 2009 in the ultra-competitive "Remodel" category.
Bayonet, with its narrow playing corridors and steep, penal bunkering, has long been considered the most difficult test of golf on the Monterey Peninsula. The par-72, 7,104-yard course has retained its famous bite after the recent renovation by award-winning architect Gene Bates, but playability and strategic options have been greatly improved. The uphill, dogleg right, 476-yard, par-4 ninth hole exemplifies the course's significant challenge.
IPFW LINEUP
Sydney Bailey, Allison Curtis, Monica Dorner, Brenna Sherwood, and Ashton Taft.
