Women's Golf Remains Ninth at Summit League Championship

SEASIDE, Calif. - At the completion of day two of the 2015 Summit League Championship, the IPFW women's golf team remains in ninth place with a team score of 683.
Hosted at the par-72 Bayonet Golf Course, the course was played at 6,072 yards for the round. Denver took an eight-stroke lead over South Dakota State and Oral Roberts with a two-day score of 619. Paola Aviles of Oral Roberts sits atop the individual leaderboard by one stroke with a 7-over-par 151.
For the second straight day, Allison Curtis led the Mastodons wrapping up the round with a score of 162 to tie for 21st. Curtis made both of IPFW's birdies on the day, carding them on the par-5 No. 10 and the par-4 No. 16. Finishing the round tied for 31st with a 36-hole score of 171 is Sydney Bailey. Brenna Sherwood improved by seven strokes from her day one score to finish tied for 40th with a two-day 175. Monica Dorner currently sits in 42nd place, shooting a 178 for the tournament. Ashton Taft rounds out the team standings for the 'Dons in 43rd position with a two-round score of 181.
