Trio of Mastodons Compete on First Day of League Championships

MACOMB, Ill. - The trio of Rachel Kacer, Andrea Bell, and Taylor Busch competed for IPFW in the opening day of the 2015 Summit League Championships, hosted at Hanson Field by Western Illinois University.
Kacer led the trio with a 15th place finish in the 10,000-meter run, completing the grueling 6.2-mile race in a time of 40:45.9. Bell took 17th overall in a time of 42:31.5. Busch closed out the three Mastodon runners by placing 18th in the field in a time of 48:00.2.
The Mastodons return to Hanson Field on Thursday afternoon, starting with Kyley Marano in the high jump which goes off at 4 p.m. ET, followed by Elise Cobb in the 400-meter dash preliminaries at 5:50 p.m.
